Lending that puts people first
Help each other with money without straining the friendship.
Village Finances gives loans between friends, family and church communities a clear structure: written terms, a repayment schedule, and confirmations from both sides. It's interest-free by default and built on trust.
How it works
- Step 1
Share a need
Write down what you need, why, and how long you'd like to repay. Keep it private or share it with your Village.
- Step 2
Friends pitch in
People you trust pledge what they can, at 0% interest by default. Each one sees exactly what repayment looks like before they commit.
- Step 3
Keep each other's word
Pay each other however you already do (Venmo, Zelle, check, cash), then both confirm it here so nobody has to keep score.
Rooted in Scripture
“Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.”
“Give to him who asks you, and don't turn away him who desires to borrow from you.”
“You shall not lend on interest to your brother: interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent on interest.”
Private by default
Only you see your loans, unless you choose to share a request with your Village. Village Finances never moves, holds or touches your money.
